Where can Morpheus8 be used?

Morpheus8 can be used on any areas that can benefit from resurfacing and subdermal renewal. The most commonly treated areas include the face, periorbital area (area around the eye), abdomen, thighs, legs, and buttocks.

How Does Morpheus8 Work?

Using targeted radiofrequency (RF) energy to remodel and rebuild collagen, Morpehus8 can be used to treat specific cosmetic concerns on both the face and body, including the abdomen, legs, buttocks, arms, hands, jowls, chest, and neck. The resulting effect is plumper, firmer, tighter, and smoother skin.

In addition to skin tightening, the Morpheus8 is FDA-approved as a Subdermal Adipose Remodeling Device(SARD) and is the first and only device to diminish fat in delicate areas. It is great for melting away extra fat underneath the chin and can even target larger areas such as cellulite on the thighs and buttocks. Similar to a "mommy make-over", the Morpheous8 can address postpartum abdominal laxity without surgical downtime!

What is the treatment experience like?

With the Morpheus8, topical anesthetic usually does the trick to limit the discomfort. On average, the treatment takes only 30 minutes to 1 hour to complete, depending on the size of the treated area. During the procedure, a handheld device is pressed into the specified area of the skin, allowing the ultra-fine microneedles to perforate the skin. Once the microneedles are in place, they create microchannels that deliver radiofrequency (RF) waves to penetrate deep below the epidermis. This stamping pattern is repeated until the entire area is treated. Since the needles are tiny, most patients tolerate the procedure well.

This simple, safe treatment delivers excellent results for all skin types. You can expect mild redness and swelling immediately post-procedure which tends to subside within 2-3 days and can be minimized with an ice compress. Results are immediate and continue progressively over time. Initially, the thermal energy deposited into the dermis heats collagen fibers into contraction. Then, over time, collagen and adipose tissue remodeling occur, continuing to tone and tighten for up to 3 months.

Is there a recovery time?

Morpheus8 treatment is a non-invasive procedure so there is little need for downtime or recovery. Immediately after your treatment, you will look and feel like you have moderate sunburn, and your skin may feel warmer or tighter than usual. To aid the healing process, avoid exercising or strenuous activity for 24 hours post-treatment and do not apply makeup until 48 hours after the procedure. Throughout this time, reapply sunscreen and avoid intentional or direct sunlight. You can resume work or normal activities directly following treatment.

Following your treatment, use a soothing cleanser or face wash with lukewarm water to wash your face and follow up with a gentle moisturizer or healing ointment. If you choose to go outside, apply a broad-spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen to protect your skin. Makeup can be applied two days following your treatment.

Can this be used in combination with other treatments?

Yes. Morpheus8 can be used in the same treatment session or a few days after other treatments. Morphus8 can also be combined with other energy treatments or injectables to achieve more extensive results.

How many sessions are recommended?

Your practitioner will recommend the optimal number of sessions to be performed based on your personal objectives. Treatment times and frequency will be specifically tailored to obtain optimal results.

How quickly will I see results?

Visible results can be seen within a few days, but typically after three weeks, the most noticeable result appears. Improvements continue up to three months after treatment.
